The main approach to ‘making’ in the D.Makerlab and The Faculty of Fine Arts & Design, IUE is to give a hands-on education in design. Therefore, for all the sections of D.Makerlab students has to get a proper training before they’re allowed to use the facilities. The D.Makerlab Training has been organized for over 10 years and over a thousand students then, design professionals now have been trained and are now capable of managing tools and machinery related to making.
